THIS IS MY FAVORITE PUZZLE GAME OF THE YEAR! Cocoon
20From the lead gameplay designer of both Limbo and inside comes my choice for best puzzle game of 2023. From the art design to the puzzle complexity to the exploration of ancient alien worlds and the strange biomechanical creatures that inhabit them, the entire package is expertly crafted. Use different colored orbs to power and solve puzzles, but also enter the worlds they contain inside. Even bringing worlds within worlds as you try to discover the mystery at the heart of the game. This game holds the right balance between fascinating and challenging for me. How much of the mystery can I uncover?
