0In this episode, Bastion and his father Kamorge are caught in a deadly Empire attack on a village where they had been staying. The villagers are slaughtered in the assault, leaving only Bastion, Kamorge, and two unexpected allies—Reyna and Ione—to fend off the Empire's forces. It becomes clear that the Empire is after Bastion and Kamorge, though Kamorge refuses to reveal why.
As the battle ends, Kamorge requests Reyna and Ione—who serve under Galvas—to escort him and Bastion. Ione agrees, setting in motion the beginning of Bastion’s heroic journey. What secret is Kamorge hiding, and why does the Empire want them so desperately? The answers lie ahead in this action-packed first mission!
