THE BATTLE IS PREDETERMINED AFTER THE BLACK SCREEN BEFORE THE START after that "VS" covered the whole screen, so it is not like the other Pokemon games that you can reload a state until you get a critical or something.
That's why I had a hard time manipulating the RNG for this battle.
