This is why Unity auto-update all packages is needed.
0The way I envision auto-update is this:
1) Loop through all packages being used.
2) Find the most basic dependencies.
3) Attempt to update them.
4) Compile project after each update.
5) Rollback to old version if errors in compilation.
6) Attempt all packages one at a time.
7) Give a status report of what packages were able to be updated and which could not.
This would have saved me like 50 hours personally so far, and dozens more in the future. If I worked for Unity, I could have it coded in well under 30 hours. The time it would take to code is less than the time I've lost on this personally, and I have more time to lose, and I'm not the only user Unity has.
