This puzzle broke me… until it hasn’t - Solving Inside3 Mean0 play through #mechanicalpuzzles
29I remember that I first saw this puzzle, I was really interested in its design. Being a sucker for orange colour, I knew that I had to give it a try. Actually I was a little skeptical as this orange one is a level 3, skipping the first 2 levels (easy and regular) which made me slightly uneasy. Anyway, I just too a leap of faith and decided to solve it on camera first time and see how long it takes me.
For the title, not sure if it is clickbait or not, but I actually got lost in my first play-through (so cool to be able to use this gaming jargon for puzzles) and had to open it up and reset the whole thing and try again. Luckily this is a maze puzzle with all the maps printed on the front and back of the case, so opening it up won’t lead to any spoilers.
I managed to open the puzzle up, solving it in my second play through which felt really good and satisfying. For anyone wanting to know how this puzzle plays in the hand, you can get a first person view of me solving this box in the video (also the failed attempt). I also included some of my thoughts a small reviews of the puzzle.
A more detailed version of the review will be made later, when I get the time. This puzzle is really fun and for any casual puzzle lovers who wants a good challenge on your cognitive and dexterity, you can do a whole lot worse than to get these puzzles.
I am seriously considering to get the harder ones (Awful, Vicious or maybe Mortal?!?). Maybe this time I should not be so adventurous and should go step by step up the challenge, as I understand there will be traps and dead ends for the tough challenge. As for the Mortal… I briefly mentioned in this video what my thoughts are… oh well.
Anyway, this is my review, solve and play through for the Inside 3 (cube) series. Not a solution video, but if you want the proper solution, I should be able to make one too, let me know in the comments below. I just think that the solution maybe redundant as the actual maps are already provided.
