This video is more or less an excuse to upload something on my channel to break the long gap between the last upload, but also me revisiting Redout after not playing it for more than a year and somehow being better at the game than I was last time. Literally, the other title I had for this video was "The most satisfying racing game to get good at". Nothing more to this video.
Now, for my subscribers and random viewers who actually read descriptions, asking why haven't I uploaded as of late? Well, honestly... I just lost the motivation to, as well as feeling burnt out as of late. That and something else.
It's no secret I suck at branding myself, and while I do appreciate the positive comments I received across all my videos, I still feel insecure about the "success" of my YouTube channel and fear that one day my channel and myself will fall out of relevance along with the subject of my interest (in this case a majority of you subscribed because of a blue hedgehog). I feel like I don't belong anywhere, both as a content creator and even as a person, constantly seeking validation. Despite being passionate about a lot of games I showcase here, my content doesn't offer anything relevant or meaningful to the world, save for I guess some shallow entertainment. Because... it's just random gameplay... anybody could do it. And me being introverted, as well as a nervous wreck on camera, I don't think I'll get out of my shell anytime soon.
I know I could just not care about any of this crap and just upload to make money, right? Why care about your content quality if you have (or had) a loyal audience? Well... because I just don't like wasting anyone's time as well as doing things for the sake of it. And being constantly self-aware about this sucks... like, it really sucks.
