I've given a lot of praise to Sunbreak with most of its subspecies and at the very least the more bland of options are still an elemental change like Aurora Somnacanth and Magma Almudron. But for Pyre Rakna-Kadaki they dropped the ball BADLY. There is nothing I can see of this fight that needed or warranted a subspecies for Pyre to exist. The moveset isn't different enough that regular Rakna couldn't do it and the element isn't different enough either so it makes this subspecies feel redundant. This feels like you could have given another monster a better subspecies but instead just went with Rakna but boom fire over regular fire. It's a bit disappointing but beyond this fight is where we are in store for a long awaited climax in the Sunbreak story.
