Charles Payne has said that he believes this week could break the shorts, the shorts have been losing TONS of money this year on NVDA, TSLA, growth stocks and many others.
This is causing smaller shorts to ALREADY close out of their smaller short positions, this has been pushing the market higher and could cause a market wide short squeeze this week.
This would cause the shorts to close out of most of/all of their short positions in risk order; growth stocks first, then large cap stocks, smaller meme stocks and then finally the big meme stocks (AMC/GME).
