A George Cross medal, awarded to a man believed to have diffused the most bombs in the Second World War, is to be auctioned this month.

The decoration, belonging to Wing Commander Leonard Harrison, is expected to fetch up to £100,000.

Wg Cdr Harrison's George Cross and others including one for good conduct go under the hammer at Dix Noonan Webb auctioneers in London on 24th February.
