In this session from my Spring 2013 Introduction to Philosophy class at Marist College, we discuss Thomas Aquinas' views on the will (voluntas) and on free-will (liberum arbitrium), found in his Summa Theologiae, Prima Pars, question 82 and 83. In particular, we address whether the will wills anything out of necessity, what goes on when the will chooses, and whether we have free will or not
