Even while the battles had waged on since the Highlanders death, it was obvious that the Knights, Vikings and Samurai had been weakened by his plans and raids and even upon his death he tricked them all into fighting one another by luring them, but What Wang Lei had yet to discover was how even in their wounded state each of the factions warriors were formidable, he had never been to battle until now, the Shaolin Monks had reported that they alone could not push the invaders that had stumbled upon their land away, reportedly, the highlander had brought them here to lure the Wu Lin into the war, and it was working.

Wang Lei had polished his armour, it was now stained and burnt, he had sharpened his blade, it was now blunted and bloodied, and he had come in an optimist, now broken and battered, the warriors he had fought were only the beginning, and he did not crave another encounter, he was off kilter, he couldn't see or hear clearly when assassins snuck into their barracks at night and murdered his men and were stopped only by a Jiang Jung named Bao, his master, and Bao had kneeled down beside his student the next morning no consolation or words of reassurance just hard advice, "Find Balance Wang Lei, we are at war and we cannot hesitate..."

And so another battle erupted and all Wang Lei could try to do is hum a song he had once heard as a child to keep clear his mind while he fought through the hordes of what was seemingly endless opposition.
