Ticket To Ride: Europe is a sequel or implemented version of the Spiel Des Jahres winning board game Ticket to Ride which has created a plethora of spin off titles and maps that have invaded family game nights for years.

In Ticket To Ride: Europe, players will attempt to connect cities through fulfilling destination routes by placing trains on different coloured routes through the collection of different train card combinations. For example fulfilling a red route involves collecting and playing red carriage cards.

As players claim routes between various cities and destination points, the game board will fill up and it will become progressively more difficult for players to complete their long routes, so players will have to be quick to nab up important connection points first. The longer the route that a player claims the greater the number of victory points obtained.

In the Ticket To Ride: Europe Edition, the game introduces the idea of stations, tunnels and ferry routes. Stations allow players to share an existing connection point but at the cost of victory points at the end of the game. Ferries require the use of locomotives and tunnels have a risk versus reward element of having to push your luck in order to match cards as they appear.

The player who most successfully builds and claims the best train connection routes throughout the game and yields the greatest number of victory points will win the game.

The Board Game Sanctuary is a family friendly board game channel that aims to introduce the board gaming hobby to new and seasoned players in a light, fun and humourous way.
