Haven Board Game Review
Designer: Alf Seegert
Artist: Ryan Laukat
Publisher: Red Raven Games
2 Players Only

Haven is a strictly two player board game where players either take on the role of the spirits of the forest as they battle the other player who adopts the role of the city dwellers. A battle ensues in a tug of war style affair as the players try to persuade three major elementals by providing offerings at various shrines.

Whichever player can gain majority and control over the shrines in the first the most efficiently will win the game.

There are three types of lore in the forest, including leaf, stone and water. Each lore is associated with a different elemental being that travels around the map. By controlling shrines, players then aim to control haves bound by the lines marked by shrines. The player who controls the most havens gains the favour of the Haven Guardian.

Players can also draw on special card abilities to help them combat, battle and win the elementals approval. The player with the most victory points at the end of the game wins!

The Board Game Sanctuary is a family friendly board game channel that aims to introduce the board gaming hobby to new and seasoned players in a light, fun and humourous way.
