Did you know that the SID actually supports running an external audio signal through its filter? The device I use to record SID tunes from my 6581 SID chip (SIDBlaster-USB TicTac) has an audio in port, but for a long time I thought that no tools supported this. It was only recently that I discovered that GoatTracker 2 actually does allow you to enable the filter on external audio sources. So since I don't think anyone's shared something like this publicly, here's a small sample of what the 6581 filter can do when unrestricted from the SID's internal voices.

Check my 2nd channel for more stuff like this in the future: https://www.youtube.com/@AcrosArchive

Filter settings used: Low-pass, cutoff $400, resonance $0

(No download cause I unfortunately lost the original recording)
