Backtracking. Oh, how I used to hate it, until Super Metroid showed how to properly do it and later metroidvanias helped perfect it.
Going back to a previous point in the game just to do a glorified fetch quest (looking at YOU, most RPGs)? Get that crap outta here.
Going back to a previous point to unlock new areas, exploration and quests (I'm looking at YOU, metroidvanias and the occasional good RPG like Clair Obscur)? Take ALL of my imaginary dollaridoos.
