This is (video 2 of 2) from some online matches of Timesplitters 2 played on August 2, 2010 . This game was played online with a LAN tunneling program called Xlink Kai.

We got a really big match going this night. We had 6 players for a time. In this video there is only 4 of us less because the other 2 guys had to go.

This game handles lag suprisingly well through LAN tunneling (Xlink Kai) also. Like, one person in this game was in California, while 2 other people were all the way over in Europe, but there was still not really any noticeable lag.

I have heard that Timesplitters 2 was originally supposed to have an online mode, but it ended up not being implemented. I am grateful that they included a LAN mode, since this is what allows us to play it online with LAN tunneling programs. However, I do not think they tested the LAN mode very much since they left off the option for players to start off with a gun. So, when playing this game online through LAN tunneling every player starts without a weapon and this can get a bit annoying. Still, the game is very fun to play online because it is such a different experience than playing TImesplitters: Future Perfect online.

This multiplayer game of Timesplitters 2 was played with a program called Xlink Kai ( http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/ ) .It lets you play PS2 games online even once their online servers are taken down. This means that playstation 2 games can be played online forever. The catch is it only works with games with a LAN mode. This is because the program uses a games LAN to trick the game into thinking players across the world are playing on its Local Area Network (LAN).
