TimeSplitters Future Perfect (2005) | Thief | Spaceport
"A quick round of Thief on TimeSplitters Future Perfect!"
Well, where to start with such a sublime title. That this game bears more than a passing resemblance to Perfect Dark and Goldeneye for the N64 is no coincidence, what with Free Radical Design being made up of many former Rare developers. But thanks to that fantastic bunch of folks they graced us with a trilogy of games that had a simply mind blowing amount of features.
A campaign that can be played in co-op, check. Heaps of different weapons from all eras, check. A plethora of heavily customisable multiplayer game modes that support split-screen and that can all be played with competent AI bots, checkety check. A fully fledged map maker where you can craft both multiplayer AND story missions!? Big honkin great check!.
Seriously, this game is a work of art and belongs in anybody's PS2 catalogue. It's a good now as it was back when it released. Supposedly we might be getting a proper fourth instalment too with Deep Silver reforming the studio. But time will tell....no pun intended =)
