Tinker Tailor Stalker Spy: #909 ( Stalker ) Loner Kruglov Sunset In Jupiter
2I'm not a Loner. My name is not Kruglov. My task is to infiltrate any Factions that I choose, in order to investigate and seize any of the new prototype weapons and ammunition, that have illegally entered the Zone. I have left the Mercenary Faction to join the Loner Faction. I am the Stalker.
Encrypted Diary: With the sun going down, I went out to loot the Merc squad I had just zapped. This was a dangerous time to be out and about among mutants. I quickly located the Mercs, who always had good loot and was soon back at the Checkpoint. I had noticed earlier that the Merc, who I had disarmed and shamed and was hiding in the bushes, near the concrete bridge going west.
I was back on the roof, just in time to see two Exoskeleton Stalkers emerge on the road by the Concrete Bath. They were quickly identified as enemies, and their colors showed they could only be Monolith. I watched as they continued north, as I readied the prototype weapon, then suddenly I saw something that really surprised me. The unarmed Merc had come out of the bushes and was trying to sneak up on the Monolith. That was crazy.
Right as I was aiming at the Monolith, the Merc was behind them. I zapped the Monolith, killing one and stunning the other. The Monolith Exo stumbled to the rear, not realizing the Merc was next to him, as I zapped him next. The Merc ran over, grabbed the dropped shotgun and then menacingly pointed it right at me. I knew he was too far to hit me, but it was obvious he was mad and did not take his weapon and try to escape. I had no choice but to kill him, as I knew if I didn't, he would soon arrive within range of his gun.
When I went to loot all three, some more Ecologists had arrived, and they were now yellow on my target acquisition, which means our alliance had been broken and we only had a temporary truce. My PDA Faction relations now showed 144 points, which had dropped from over 5,300. At least they weren't enemies.
More Duty arrived, I zapped a squad of Bandits behind them. More Duty arrived and were spreading out in different directions. To the west, coming from the Container Yard and going north, I zapped a squad of Mercenaries on the road and two Bloodsuckers just beyond them at Volkhov. I went out to talk to the passing Duty squad but did not find out anything new.
