I'm not a Loner. My name is not Kruglov. My task is to infiltrate any Factions that I choose, in order to investigate and seize any of the new prototype weapons and ammunition, that have illegally entered the Zone. I have left the Mercenary Faction to join the Loner Faction. I am the Stalker.

Encrypted Diary: After I left the Kindergarten, I went south between some apartment buildings to a location makes as The Department Store on my PDA Map. This is when a variety of mutants attacked me. From there I moved to the Bookstore, where I was followed by more mutants including a pack of blind dogs, led by a large radioactive black dog.

Inside the Bookstore I found a similar site of a bunch of debris, with one of those strange glowing electronic devices like at the Kindergarten. This one seemed active but there was no Psi Field with it. Both locations seemed built by someone losing their mind, no doubt it was the Monolith. I left this location and moved north.

The next location marked on my PDA Map was The Grocery Store, but it was picked clean of everything but a cash register. On the floor was a dropped Armsel Striker, which was very eerie. Someone died here and the body was dragged away by mutants, leaving only the weapon. I found an outside cellar stairs that led to a basement, that had ladders leading to two more lower levels. I could not figure out their purpose unless it was for storage of food and other items sold there.

When I was back topside, I saw a change in the weather as a light fog was creeping in. I had been away from my 32 Companions too long, so I was anxious to get back to the Laundromat. I did not expect to spend this much time in the Pripyat Outskirts, but I feel I haven't even seen half of it so far.
