You can use keyboard & mouse or a gamepad. If you use a gamepad, then It is in essence a twin stick shooter; you move with the left analog stick and aim with the right analog stick. To shoot you press the Right Trigger button, although roll is on the Right Bumper button. You can create a squad and have them follow you through missions, or just solo it like Rambo. You earn in-game currency by playing and then unlock ranks, perks, and weapons. You can also upgrade your squad members, but if they die in battle then you will have to recruit greenhorns. You cannot give squad members commands, they just follow you around. You can play cross platform co-op, or local co-op on your computer. To find an online game would be quite difficult, unless you setup a lobby with friends. Apart from a few niggles with the game, a major issue for me was not being able to rotate the camera view. So, you could only see a couple of meters one way and about ten times that in the opposite direction. Which led to enemies shooting at you from off-screen and you having to blindly shoot at them. And, being forced to walk into choke points only seeing a few meters ahead.
