Tips for Exploring An Abandoned Mineshaft Safely: Cat Switch Beginner's Series Back to Basics Ep. 13
2Welcome to CatSwitch! We are a father and son kid friendly Minecraft YouTube Channel dedicated to all things Minecraft. In our initial series, we are covering the basic's and teaching how to play Minecraft with real world notes on how to quickly survive and get setup in order to work towards beating the game.
In this Thirteenth episode, we are sharing tips on safely exploring an Abandoned Mineshaft. As part of that, we review how to mark one's path, how to automate fighting mobs, and tips for general Minecraft safety.
In the next episode, (Episode 14), we will review how to enchant using an enchantment table as well as an Anvil. We are working towards the goal of how to beat the game, wonder how many episodes it will take to reach that goal? Watch to find out!
This is our new world, called "Cat" that is set for Normal hardness without cheats, so truly a first continuing survival scenario, started in 1.17 and now upgraded to 1.18, we are teaching what resources are most important, how to survive early game, and different tips and tricks we have learned along the way. This is an interesting seed and we explored the nearby village as well as see what type of desert structure is on the horizon (And Now Jungle--Thanks 1.18!).
This series is focused on just the steps necessary to play including gathering resources, getting armor, surviving lava, how to explore a cave safely, and how and where to find diamonds.
We try to laugh and be silly, have fun, but also cover good tips and tricks to play the game and survive Minecraft.
In the seventh Episode/next, we will continue attempting to find diamonds, learning how to do Branch Mining, what Y level to find diamonds, and hopefully get obsidian to make a Nether portal and Enchantment Table.
