Back to mainland from our little seafaring misadventure, the Maku Tree directs us once again west of Lynna City, to the highlands north of the Fairies' Woods.

Up there, Link finds himself in the ruins of Symmetry Village, a town that was destroyed in the past by the eruption of a volcano. The volcano also happens to house level 4, the Skull Dungeon, so we absolutely need to calm it down.

For some reason, the entire town being perfectly symmetrical is actually what keeps the volcano from erupting, and the reason it's angry right now is because the centerpiece and symbol of the town, the sacred Tuni Nut, cracked due to Veran's dark influence and it's not perfectly symmetrical anymore.

Thankfully, an expert repairer named Patch lives nearby, so Link simply needs to take it to be fixed. Of course, reaching Patch and getting the nut fixed is an entire ordeal.

But, with the Tuni Nut fixed in the past, the volcano calms down and the dungeon becomes explorable in the present. The Tuni Nut itself appears to no longer exist in the present- I suppose it either grew into the Gale Seed tree that is now in the same spot, or the citizens of Symmetry Village realized that worshipping a nut was a bit silly.

Skull Dungeon is a bit of a mixed concept: it begins as a regular lava-themed dungeon and then becomes heavily puzzle-themed in the later half, with some color-based rooms that can be a bit tough, and a main item that allows you switch locations with another enemy or object.

The mid and final bosses of the dungeon completely lack any fire or lava theming, which is a bit sad, but they're still fun bosses.

As usual, the software belongs to its owners, I only record my gameplay for my own enjoyment.
