TM Doom 2 mod update 2/24/25
9moved into a new map, well... and old map, but a really impressively sized one with just the setting for street warfare. Map is Planisphere 2 by Perro Seco https://doomwiki.org/wiki/Planisphere_2
Some new features of this update are:
*rehaul of machine gun visual and physics.
*better explosion animation.
*began reworking the Decorate code/scripts to accommodate the new map.
Moving forward this will be a pk3 wad project which means it will be transferrable across all doom supported maps so long as its not collided with other wads or zip resources.
Below is the roadmap to what I want to accomplish across the next video updates for this particular project.
Roadmap:
*So far Outlaw is my main test character for all the tm2 energy abilities. After hours of testing, I will begin finally copying their code across the other playable characters.
*Current playable characters are Outlaw, Mr.Slam, CrimsonFury, Yellowjacket, Grasshopper, Roadkill, Darkside, Sweettooth, Specter and Thumper. I usually like to add each character with their special which has been challenging(especially for Mr.Slam and Shadow), so its been taking awhile to get the rest of the tm2 roster out. I will already have to go back and rework most of the existing specials for the characters already present, so id like to at least get all the tm1 and 2 characters in before I tinker too much with their specials and honestly that can be a far down the road endeavor.
*rework physics and visual on Ricochet.
*rework weapon pickup icons.
*Add Napalm pickup and maybe remote bomb.
