TMNT Splintered Fate - " The Perfect Run " with Mikey
So originally I thought this achievement was a lot stricter than it turned out to be. You are actually allowed to skip a portal, because I did and still got the achievement. This run was also done post DLC, so things may have changed slightly.
So the " Perfect Run " consists of:
1. Equipping the " War Staff " artifact for the entire run from start to finish.
2. Not skipping more than 1 (2?) " Shimmering Portals " for the entire run. Not 100% on this, because I only skipped one portal, and it was the dash one...this game is weird in general so you just never know. (I am only letting you know my personal experience)
Skipping more than 2 portals makes shimmering portals not appear anymore, so it could be deemed as " active " if you only skip 2. Again though, not 100% sure. It could also be the case that a perfect run attempt needs 13 headbands/shimmering portals total, because I have out of curiousity checked out other perfect run videos before the DLC released, and they all had 13 shimmering portals, just like this run did.
3. Not skipping a single " Gauntlet Challenge " including all boss portals.
I did skip the " Portal of Lead Feet " which reduces your dash to 1, and still got the achievement at the end of run. (got the sound on video too) That was the only portal I skipped...because honestly its TERRIBLE to play with 1 dash.
I was actually annoyed while playing in this video, and was basically AFKing with my tool usage a lot on the run, because I was tired of getting the portal of lead feet screwing my attempts lol...but it turned out it was fine to skip it.
Theres such little actual viable information and disinformation on the internet about this game, that I had no idea it would still be considered the perfect run or not.
Some of the legendary power ups have " wrong combinations " of people just making stuff up, which made this grind a tad annoying, since I wanted to get the legendary power up called " Bright Spring " in this run, which allows you to heal for 2 health per hit.
You need the power ups " Splash damage " which is unlocked by taking a water damage power up first, and " Light Embrace " from the Astral power ups, to have a chance at rolling " Bright Spring ".
The " Light Attacks " power up is huge damage early on in the run, and I highly reccomend that power up on Mikey, ASAP.
This is likely one of the most overpowered setups in the game to do the " Perfect Run " achievement with, but whatever:)
