2In an effort to promote the active participation of female police officers and other officers, the Kochi Prefectural Police invited Kochi Bank President Yuko Kawai to hold a seminar.
This seminar, held for the first time by the prefectural police and featuring Kochi Bank President Yuko Kawai, was designed to help advance the careers of female police officers and other officers.
Approximately 100 female police officers and other officers from the prefectural police attended the seminar.
President Kawai gave a lecture titled "Drawing a Life Curve, Reflecting on Your Career, and Considering Your Future," in which she stated, "To create a happy work environment, you must take on a position of responsibility."

"I felt that it would be great to work for the citizens of the prefecture, not just because I'm a woman, but by thinking about what I can do as a person and what I want to do."
Currently, 39.1% of all female police officers at the rank of sergeant or above (with a goal of 40%), and the prefectural police hope to continue increasing the number of female officers in senior positions.
