To The Moon – Part 3 [Finale]
0I hope you all enjoy this third and final pat of 'To The Moon'! I most certainly did, this game is pretty incredible. While I may have some issues with the way it is set up (having to be fullscreen to not be an ultra-shitty aspect ratio, et cetera), the game itself and all contained in it is pretty great. There were sidetracking points where I got a bit lost, but I got to explore the world just a little bit more. There's lots to look at. That's probably in part why I was so easily distracted. I just thought, "Ooh, shiny," and wandered further astray to some random bit.
Anyway, I did really love this, and the next game will be livestreamed if I can help it!

'To The Moon' is a 2D narrative game about two scientists who work for a company that grants the final wishes of dying patients by connecting their earliest memories and rewriting their history. That person will then have their new life in their final moments. However, this one particular patient has a rather...interesting wish. John wishes to go to the moon. His reason is quite interesting. It all has something to do with the woman he married called River...

(!Slightly spoiler-y!) In general, the game itself portrays that those with mental illness can live a normal life, but also that covering their state can be negative. River's friend Isabelle also has the same illness (I believe it is Aspergers, a part of the autistic spectrum) but has been acting as if she were normal since childhood to blend in and has since lost herself. John also has lost himself, and his reason for going to the moon; this is the main conflict of the game. A lot of the general conflict is coping and compensating. John copes with personal losses. We find out here why he has his memory loss, and what could be compensated for to give him the best new life he could have.
