Briefing:
Ghosts, the NSA has informed us that they have picked up unusual chatter from Russian long range sensors. From what they've been able to decipher, it seems some of their satellite systems have been out of access for some time and they don't understand as to why. NASA's military unit suffered a similar situation with one of their own satellites, although it seems this problem is more isolated.

Everyone in the intelligence community back home is scratching their heads, but our tech department think they have a lead. They believe the same laser system Sentinel used to update their subs, or tried to before we intervened, was used to disrupt these satellites by bursting large quantities of scrambled information into them and therefore temporarily shutting them down. A sort of 'DDOS' attack in space. The only facility capable of doing such a thing is the Satellite Dish in Golem Island.

We cannot verify this possibility, but what makes it more plausible is that when calculating the position of the attacked satellites relative to their orbits, it seems all of them were almost directly position above the dish at the time. We've relayed this information back home, who are not too convinced themselves but have still given us the go-ahead to raid the facility. Once you've completed the mission, our tech team will sweep the area for any vital intel.
