The Shadowed Throne is the second DLC map for CoD WW2 Zombies. Here’s five things it did wrong.
#5: The controls on the radio needed to access Pack-a-Punch are finicky at best. Zombies can also still attack you as you adjust the dials, often making this a frustrating experience.
#4: The Shadowed Throne feels like a small map. Much of the map’s playable space can only be accessed through parts of the Easter Egg, which leaves casual players with a map that feels more like a Black Ops 2 survival map.
#3: Sizzler special enemies are fast enough to force the round to end when the player doesn’t want it to. This will annoy the player at best and it removes strategy from the game at worst. They don’t need to spawn at the end of rounds.
#2: The map’s main wonder weapon, the Wunderbuss, is extremely underwhelming. It feels less like a wonder weapon and more like a gimmick for certain steps of the Easter Egg.
#1: Speaking of the Wunderbuss, it's an entirely necessary part to unlock Pack-a-Punch. Whoever decided this should be fired, as it locks casual and even hardcore fans out of one of the most basic features of the map unless they look up a guide, as it’s not obvious what to do or a president that wonder weapons unlock Pack-a-Punch on any prior Zombies map ever.
