Hey everybody! With 2016 just on the horizon, and after taking a look at my favorite games of the year last week, now it’s time to look back at the bottom of the barrel, the spoiled cream of the crop and the worst of the worst with my Top 5 Worst Games of 2015 list. What games made the list? What games smell like rotten garbage? Well stay tuned and you’ll be sure to find out.

Since I decided to do a Top 5 instead of a Top 10, there were some games I didn’t get a chance to talk about, but still deserved mentioning as being pretty awful in their own right.

Godzilla: The Game: While I didn’t think the recent Godzilla game was the worst thing ever, it does win the award for being one of the most tedious games of 2015. It’s fun for a short while and some of the bonus features are cool for die hard fans, but the missions are boring, the combat is beyond clunky, the graphics are muddy and it’s really a game that, looking back, probably wouldn’t even be worth it in a bargain bin. It’s a pain to play, a pain to look at, and definitely one of the worst of 2015.

Rory McIlroy's PGA Tour 2015: I love golf games. Whether it’s Mario Golf, Hot Shots Golf or Tiger Wood’s PGA Tour, I’ve always loved playing a round of virtual golf. After a few years and a cover athlete change, as well as the switch to next gen consoles, I thought this series would come back strong. Instead we got a pretty and competent game that felt incredibly shallow and had some of the worst created characters of 2015. Maybe it was a transitory year for the franchise, which usually tends to come with some growing pains, but that still doesn’t give a company the right to release subpar products.

Mario Tennis Ultra Smash: This was #6 on my list for anyone who was wondering. If I hadn’t been more disappointed by LA Cops wasted potential and stiff controls, this would have made the Top 5 easily. It’s shallow, lacks any sort of substance and is a joke that it’s being sold at full retail price. If it hadn’t been hard on the eyes or easy to control, this would have really been one of the worst games of 2015.

And though I didn’t hate the game, it’s still total BS that Star Wars Battlefront is essentially charging you $120 for a full game. That’s bologna.
