In one word, it’s just a more useful settings and notification panel than your usual. First of all, it’s easier to access with a simple flick. Secondly, it looks better with all the themes you’ve got. And, thirdly it’s so much more flexible and customizable.

For e.g. You can slide your finger on this bar right here to quickly change brightness.

You have full control over how and what notifications show up and if they should show in full black color or they should take up the color from the app icon. Whether you want to see persistent irritating notifications or not.

Customize which tiles you want in your settings and which ones you don’t. You’ve got a full list here and this is much more than what you usually get. Some need root notification, but you don’t have to if you don’t want to.

You can also decide where you want the trigger handle, how thick you want it to be and its exact position.
