I take a look at Runic Games TorchLight 2, a dungeon crawler many are saying is the game that Diablo 3 should have been.
I start right after I've created my character, and take you through the first hour or so of gameplay over these two videos. I get out of the starting area with my OUtlander class, and take a look at how the games equipment and looting system works, as I'm finally set onto a series of quests by the inhabitants of the nearest town of Torchlight 2.
Finally I go deeper into the wilderness, and find the undead starting to lurk. Eventually, I find myself being stopped by a stranger and asked by someone to enter a dungeon. After a few moments I find myself knee deep in with the undead and bats. It doesn't take long before I'm ankle deep in treasure, providing me excellent scope to review how the gem system works in Torchlight II, as well as the character development and level up system.
