Torchlight II GUTS Tutorial: Class Creation
228Class Creation in TL2 has changed a bit to be a little more modular than TL1 was.
This tutorial only covers getting a custom class in the character creation screen and in-game, the depths of class creation are not in this video, a future video will cover that.
============Widgets in GUTS============
There isn't much detail on widgets in GUTS, but based on observations, they pull data from other parts of the game. For example the Window holding the data for the Skill in the Skill Tree Layout. In this video the Widget Name happens to be Flame Hammer which is an internal name for the Flame Hammer skill.
Inside this Window there are various other objects such as the Text object to show the name of the skill. This text object has Nametext as the Widget Name.
Judging from this observation we can assume that if we set a Skill Name that is in the Unit's skill list on the widget name, it'll pull data from the skill data. Then any child of the Window with a widget will pull from that skill data.
Unfortunately there is no list of widgets, so we don't know what we can pull outside of what we find from other UI layouts.
