Torte Le Magic - Normal Mode Perfect Clear (NMNB) (SC-88 OST)

Probably the most obscure ZUN-related game.
Tortle Le Magic is a doujin shmup that came out in 2001 and was made by Pietoro, one of the former members of Amusement Makers. You might recognize that name as being the doujin group that ZUN was a part of during the PC-98 Touhou era. Pietoro made this and basically asked ZUN if he could help with the music. ZUN then made three tracks specially for this game.
It's an interesting little piece of history.
The game itself is a fangame based on Ten Carat Torte! A manga series that ran from 1996 to 2001.
This game is also known for being infamously hard to run on modern systems.
Besides the issues of this being a Windows 95 game, the music is also only in MIDI format.
I tried a whole bunch of things to get this working but not even dgVoodoo worked. The only thing that worked was a program called DDrawCompat:
https://github.com/narzoul/DDrawCompat
But even then I could only get this recorded by using OBS's display capture.
The music is a whole other issue. Windows hasn't supported MIDI for well over a decade, so attempting to play it back on modern systems will just make the music sound like absolute trash.
You can use something like VirtualMIDISynth to simulate what MIDI was supposed to sound like with sampled soundfonts, but ZUN used heavily customized instruments for this game's compositions. So even with the correct SC-88Pro soundfont, it's still going to sound off.
What VirtualMIDISynth allowed to me to do though, was split the music from the sound effects, so I ended up just recording the sound effects and splicing in the correct music in post.
If you want to know more about ZUN and MIDI's, this thread is a great read:

This game came out between Seihou Shuusou Gyoku and Kioh Gyoku, but mechanically it has more in common with the later PC-98 Touhou games.
You collect items to increase your power, these items then turn into score items when you're at full power.
Only Easy and Normal difficulties for this game.
The second boss is technically a TLB, you can only fight it on Normal and you can't use a continue before it.
This game probably has the wildest random boss movement I've ever seen.
Bosses can just jump from one end of the screen to the other in an instant and it makes for some really wacky scenarios.
Game is not too bad, there also isn't really that much to it since it's so short.
The bosses are extremely random though. Besides the random nature of the patterns the bosses can also just keep running away from you or go really low on the screen.
The gravity balls can be especially bullshit if you get unlucky.
Also yes this somehow has an English patch.
