This is a playthrough using the team of Eiji, Eos and Zero in the PS1 game Battle Arena Toshinden 4 / Toshinden Subaru. Read on below for more information...

Eiji, Eos and Zero form the boss Team in the game. They are unlockable playable characters.

===== HOW TO UNLOCK EIJI, EOS & ZERO =====

This is the quick method. On entering the title/menu screen, input the following:

Right, Right, Left, Left, Right, Right, [R1], [R2]

Remember that in order for this to work, when you first enter the title/menu screen, the FIRST thing you do must be to input the code. If you press any other direction beforehand, the command won't work. So if you have screwed up, just enter the Options screen and then exit back out to try again.

If you've done it right, you'll see a confirmation message. This also unlocks Vermilion as well.

===== ABOUT BAT4 EIJI =====

In BAT4, Eiji was offered a chance to become the leader of a new evil Organization called the Gerard Foundation. He accepted the deal, with the goal of secretly dismantling it from within so that the world would be safe from the Gerald Foundation. With the help of the altered humans Eos and Zero, he sponsored and participated in the fourth Toshindabukai to gather the 4 Sacred Arms before anyone else can.

Details of his prologue is described in-game, shown in the video starting around 1:55.

===== EIJI DESIGN =====

In BAT4, he looks very different to what we are used too... he is decked out with shoulder and shin armor, has a ninja-style suit underneath that also serves as a mask and headguard, and fights with his sword encased in the scabbard. It should also be noted that his hair is greyed out too... which may be odd considering that the game is set ten years after BAT3, which would make Eiji only 33 years of age in BAT4.

===== ABOUT EOS =====

Eos is an Italian altered human who works with Eiji from within the Gerard Foundation. She is angel-like and keeps her eyes closed, rarely opening them. As a biotechnologically-produced masterpiece of the Gerard Foundation, Eos is an incredibly powerful fighter who can predict every move of her opponent.

Despite being created by the Gerard Foundation themselves, the original members of the organization were alarmed by her powers. Even the Himitsu Kessha organization members Chaos, Cupido, Gaia, Uranus and leader Master were shocked. Eventually, Master and Uranus sealed off Eos' power to keep her from disrupting their own plans. Years later, Eos was found by Eiji Shinjo, who had become the new Master of the Gerard Foundation. He requested that she release her powers to help him in his fight against an unknown evil, to which Eos managed to break Uranus' seal, and pledged loyalty to Eiji as her new master.

---- Puella is her foster daughter.

---- Her weapon is the Seiryu Spear, given to her by Eiji. This spear was originally Mondo's.

===== EOS DESIGN =====

She's one of those female "angelic" designs, in kind of the same vein as Angel from Tekken. Eos has special moves where in one she sets a moving ground trap that travels forward towards the opponent, and if it lands, the opponent is struck by the creature which comes up from the ground... and another special move where she summons the creature to horizontally charge at her opponent - both these moves made me think of Rain from Plasma Sword.

===== ABOUT ZERO =====

Zero is a Greek synthetic human who works with Eiji from within the Gerard Foundation. He is an artificial being, created by the Gerard Foundation. Zero revels in destruction.

One day, due an accident, he obtained a wound in an experiment that seemed to create an opening to some form of power. He then killed the scientist who created his current state. Soon afterwards, he discovered a special suit which when worn, released even more of the mysterious power he possessed into him.

With Eiji and Eos, he went out to find the Four Sacred Arms, although his reasons for doing so is rumored to be for his own personal ambitions.

===== ZERO DESIGN =====

Toshinden's character designs tend to be unique and wacky, so I guess they wanted a gimp type.

===== OTHER INFORMATION =====

---- In Eiji's endng/credits image, a reflection of Sho is seen on Eiji's sword.

---- In the Japanese version of the game, Rook's nunchuks are linked using plain rope. In the European version of the game, the plain rope was replaced with an electricity/beam inspired effect.

---- In the European version of the game, Eos and Bang Boo's pre-fight intros had some animations cut near the end of them. This results in the sudden "jump" of animation. It is unclear on why they did this, or it could have been accidental.

---- The game is known as Toshinden Subaru in Japan.

---- The game was only officially released in Japan and Europe, meaning that there is no USA version of the game.
