Total War Rome 2 Historical Battles - Zama
October 19, 202 BC Hannibal and Scipio, Carthage and Rome face off in might at Zama. The outcome of the battle could change the course of history and upset the balance of power in the Mediterranean. Veteran Roman LEGIONARIES, pre-Marian LEGIONARIES face off against Hannibal's mercenaries and Sac..Sacred Band?! Oh screw this.
The Carthaginian War Elephants chased after the Numidian Cavalry of Rome, got hit with a volley, ran amok whereupon Hannibal gave the order to have all the elephants killed immediately. He then charged into the Roman lines himself, barely surviving the rain of pila that felled many of his bodyguard. The battle was decided by Roman Auxiliary Cavalry rearcharging the Carthaginian blobs into oblivion.
