Toton Traction Depot 08/08/2008
0My first visit to this fantastic place. I kind of got tongue-tied at the start of this video when narrating so I apologise for that. Well I filmed 60003 and 60019(?) from the westside of the yard because a lot of long growth obstructed some of the other locomotives on that side. Then in the rest of the video. I filmed from Toton Bank which gives you a nice vantage point for filming trains around the yard ;). I was also chatting to some other rail enthusiasts that I met there on the day as well, so there will be some chatter in the background but I managed to get my beast 60008 on film as that demonic locomotive is stored in the south compound. Also I saw 60081 which looked in a rather sorry-looking state coupled to 60006 (another 2007 victim grrr :(). As well as a few others which I was told they have been moved around the yard quite recently, I wonder if these will return to service again soon? I certainly hope so especially my 60008 beast :D. I will probably go in the winter next time when the trees and the growth has wilted as this might give me more view of the stored locomotives.
