Touchdown Templar - Dragon Age Inquisition Sword & Shield Warrior Build for Nightmare/Trials
Really powerful and fun Templar build for Dragon Age Inquisition that focuses on destroying rifts, shield breaking and aggressive mobile combat to knock enemies down and keep them out of the fight. If you don't play Warrior/Templar you can still use this build on Cassandra.
Skill layout at 2:37 Companions at 17:49 You don't have to use same companions, just have a tank with War Cry preferred and mage with Barrier, then a ranged rogue for damage.
Livid and Charging Bull will make sure you have guard at all times, Livid also gives you a damage boost and resistance. Combat roll does damage, goes through enemies, procs effects and only has a 2 second cooldown. Wrath of Heaven and Spell Purge combo on groups of mobs for big damage. That combo and Spell Purge on it's own will destroy barriers while Shield Bash destroys guard. Lunge and Slash is fun and works as a detonator, but can annoyingly miss a lot, try Payback Strike if you find you don't like it, you'll have Shield Bash as a detonator as well.
Forgot to include it in the vid, but Horn of Valor ability that buffs party damage is a skill you want somewhere in your party, i choose to put it as a favourited ability on my tank, but you can equip it yourself if you want more reliability. Flow of Battle passive in the 2hand tree is worth taking if you want faster cooldowns. Build can be adapted to 2 hand Templar with just a few changes here and there. No need to stick to it exactly as it is, try stuff out and see what you like best.
Aegis of the Rift ability shown at 10:46 is a great ability for clearing annoying rifts with lots of ranged demons. It's only available from the Jaws of Hakkon DLC which is lvl 20, but you can actually sneak in and get it as soon as the war table operation is available.
Hope you enjoy the build, lemme know if you have any questions.
