ZUN recently made a short Matsuri arrange of ISC for a Digital Game Expo. This game was never meant to be publicly released but a Chinese dude managed to recreate the game based on recorded videos and descriptions from players.

You use the mallet to convert bullets into coins. It sort of works like the ice mechanic in Fairy Wars and you can only use the mallet every other second.
Cancelled bullets are worth 1 coin and attacking Reimu gives you 10 coins.
The game is purely for score attack purposes.
