Touhou 17: WBaWC - Normal No-shooting! No Hypers No Border-break 1cc (Memes #31)

Random thoughts as follows.
First of all, god damn I hate the recording FPS drop. What's the fking point of that little "60" on the bottom-right if the recording's gonna be like some 55-59 FPS shit anyway? And it de-syncs my attempts to jig with the music in the gameplay too, which is really unfortunate.
Oh well, maybe I should just be happy the replay didn't desync. BTW, while checking the replay I found that if you start from S6 and use Ctrl too much, the music changes to Saki's theme. yeehaw.
My initial plan was to lose two lives on Mayumi's final, and that's all. But I brainfarted at Yachie, so I decided to drop the No Bombs ambition and just aim to 1cc. Good thing I did because I somehow also brainfarted HARD on Mayumi's 2nd spell. This is why I chose Otter, lol - if shit went down and I had to use bombs, at least they'd be good bombs. The truth is that Mayumi's 2nd spell can be comfortably pacifist-ed on Normal, and as I've shown in a previous video it can be done even on Lunatic with a bit of monkey dodging lol.
Stages 1-3 are trivial, even on Lunatic (except on Lunatic Urumi's 2nd non is scarier (you might get strangled by the slightly-curved walls), and the Kutaka fight is nastier).
Stages 4 & 5 are rough to no-shoot on not-Easy. On Normal you've just gotta make sure your fingers actually cooperate with you in all the yin-yang spam portions. On Lunatic the spam is especially bad, naturally; and somehow I find the pre-midboss arrowhead spam to be the toughest thing in the level. This is worsened by how the will-o-wisps try to bodyslam you once they're done firing at you. Yachie isn't tooooo bad though. idfk why tf I fked up here. Since you're not gonna be focused on shooting, you can afford to macro-dodge more of her nonspells, avoiding the hairier dodges of those attacks.
Stage 5... that crowd-control part before the midboss is nasty. You've gotta make sure the fairies don't bodyslam you. It's still doable on Hard, but on Lunatic... hm. I've never done it before, personally...
Also Mayumi suuuuuuuucks. Her final spell spawns haniwa nonstop, so in a NBNHNBB No-shooting attempt you should probably dedicate both deaths to that pattern.
Stage 6 is okay-ish on Normal. Just make sure you don't clip on Idol Creature or any of the last three spells. On Lunatic basically everything can clip your ass (Square Creature's too tight, Circle Creature's random, Linear Creature worsens dramatically over time, and Idol Creature onwards has always been mean to play regardless.) though! So if you did die twice on Mayumi's final, you'll be hard-pressed for a Lunatic perfect pacifist Keiki fight...
