One of the easier 6-life clears due to Youmu's unmatched defensive potential. Youmu can also kill the AI early with her EX attack spawning on them or blocking them off, or with her fast blue knife boss attack which can pin it down.

Slow charge speed and slow scope make it hard to score conventionally, and her C2 doesn't generate that many pellets, but her C1 is actually a very good chaining tool.

Youmu can survive most things with C1, and with time you’ll be able to judge whether you should go for a C2 or if you should rely on a C1. Getting all the extends was the hardest part of this since Sakuya and Komachi had a tendency of dying too quickly which prevented me from earning much score out of them. Those 2 are already predisposed to dying early anyway due to the AI not knowing how to use their scopes properly but combined with Youmu's offence I rarely got 3-minute rounds with them. Even Aya would fall early sometimes.

To remedy this I would stall the match on stage 4 or 5 depending on when Reisen decided to show up. Since Reisen generates a lot of pellets she felt like a good opponent to do some scoring strats on. I stall for 3 Lily cycles to let the stage rank increase, and once the 3rd Lily fills the screen with bullets I start comboing. Took some silly hits this time which occasionally broke the chain but managed to get quite a few million out of it as a backup in case I couldn't get the score I needed out of later stages.

Stage 6: Sakuya is an easy opponent for Youmu, you can slash away most of her offence which is quite slow.

Stage 7: It's Aya. You can save a lot of gauge by using C1s to restream, and if you're behind on score this is a good place to make it up.

Stage 8: Youmu actually does really well against Komachi, you can cut through a lot of her offence since it tends to come in waves, especially if you target places where coin lanes are intersecting. I slash very liberally here, even slow coins can be a nuisance if they linger for too long so I try to get rid of those as well.

Stage 9: C1 is good for restreams here too. Unlike Komachi, Eiki's offence is more sustained and spread out, so Youmu is a bit disadvantaged as you can find yourself getting pushed down slowly if your slashes aren't meeting their mark. But with enough practice you'll learn what you can get away with and defend yourself very well.
