HRtPancakes looks like HRtPrayers, but is very different in some key aspects.
Most importantly, the orb can't hurt you in this game and you have no slide attack, which makes it harder to get the orb off the ground and harder to make precise shots. Instead you have a focus button similar to regular Touhou games, allowing you to move slowly through dense patterns.
Aside from the physics themselves being a bit off from the original, which makes the orb harder to control, many obstacles also act differently: Red spinning crosses do whatever they want with your orb, Gaps don't have much power behind them when they release the orb, the slow play punishment cannot be ended with bombs and regular tiles in stages will counter attack you without mercy.

Marisa Kirisame:
Marisa is a fast character with a shot that covers a greater area, allowing her to counter enemy bullets in a greater spread and juggle the ball more easily.
However, her bomb has a fixed cross pattern, which makes her miss some tiles in the corners of the screen.

Hakugyokurou has in my opinion the most tricky stages in the game. Mostly due to tiles being placed very high in some stages.

Stage 12:
One of the worst stages in the game, for being really boring. It's very hard to get to some of those tiles, and the lasers only make it take longer, without really adding any danger.

Stage 13:
This *was* the worst stage in the game, until I found out about juggling - getting the orb close to a wall and then shooting it against that wall with my bullet, making it rise without letting it escape from the wall (Marisa is the best at this, but others can do it, too). Hitting the tiles in the 4 top corners was almost impossible otherwise, as the gap or the spinners would always get in the way somehow. Taking juggling into account, this is a fun stage.

Stage 14:
This stage *will* catch you off guard, if you don't know it's coming. There are so many bullets spawned right away, that you will likely get hit if you start the stage in the center.

Stage 15:
The last spell is deceptively easy, especially in this video. It needs to be beaten without dying once, no matter how many lives you have left. Else, you will not go to the bonus stage and instead get a Bad Ending. It also gets harder if you can't beat it fast enough, by adding diagonal lasers near the center of the screen. I had to play these kinda bad Hakugyokurou stages soooo many times, just because I kept dying here. I guess that has a good side, too, because I got a lot better at the game as a result.

Stage 16:
This one is no joke. She chooses her patterns randomly and has so many different ones, that I have seen new ones every time I have reached her.
There would be a little piece of story as an ending after this, but this is recorded from a replay, so it's not included. Play the game yourself if you are curious about it. It's not especially deep lore.
