Touhou arranges are an amazing example of that, and Raiko does well to represent that creative free spirit.
Not wanting to rely on the Miracle Mallet, this tsukumogami sought out a new source of energy that would allow her to be more independent. Now, she draws her power from the echoes of musicians in the outside world. ...Hey, that could be us! Beyond her her cool and charismatic image, Raiko's entire concept makes me feel so happy me because... the Touhou character who obtains her power from human musicians… truly, literally exists in this very way. Music really is a "magic energy," just as Raiko says! May it continue to empower us as well as the rebellious youkai tools who yearn to have a voice.
