TatshMusicCircle is anything but a metal Touhou circle. However, once in a while they include a metal (or should I say hard rock?) song in their releases. Since the first moment, their production and composition caught my eye. Without a doubt is above average, and I cannot apprecciate enough the use of real guitars in their arrangements (although, I believe part of the guitars in this arrange are synthesized). That's the reason why such circle is featured on this channel. (177, 195, 240, 257, 265, 166.6). Their vocal work is also enjoyable, and thats why I decided to include 166.6 in an ultimately free vocal metal Touhou playlist. Also, 265 is a very enjoyable metal piece, and it is the song that made me eager for more songs of this circle. It's safe to say that most of the people suscribed to this channel is happy with the quality of the songs I upload. Never in this past 6 years of doing this I have seen a comment like "take this down", "this is awful", "how did you think this is on par with the rest?", and I'm very thankful for that. However, if there is one song that has been panned by many users is 240. The very first comments on this video assert there were more dislikes than likes, but as it is today, there is a whole lot more likes than dislikes. More recent comments are dedicated to defend the quality of the song, and ultimately exposing the "key" behind Tatsh arranges. Honestly, I don't know what happened (I can't monito 300 videos mind you), but to me 240 is one of the best songs this channel has to offer. Solos are sick, riifs are enjoyable, there is innovation but it also sticks to the original, and production is nice. And after all, in my opinion, this is the "key" for making a good arrange, not only on Touhou songs, but in every arrange or tribute you do to a song. Take for instance IRON ATTACK!. While their production are above anything Tatsh has ever done, their arranges are starting to become more and more difficult to actually call it "arrange". This is because IRON ATTACK! wants to includes so much original content (and content based on actual heavy metal songs) in a Touhou song, that ultimately, the esscence of such song is lost. For me, Tatsh still sounds like an "honest" doujin work, and that is a direction I have always been pursing with this channel. Of course, there is always the issue with production quality. So yeah, TatshMusicCircle is far from beign the new Demetori, or the new CROW'SCLAW. However, one has to "learn" to appreciate the small things and the attention to details with a limited budget/knowledge.
