10And now for the maingame 1cc, barely.
The game's system is very graze-heavy. Essentially you graze to charge up the Limit Value from Level 1 to 6. Pressing C triggers Limit Mode, draining the meter. During Limit Mode, all point items dropped by enemies are converted into Life value. The higher your level, the longer Limit Mode lasts and the better conversion rate you get. After limit ends, bullets are cleared and converted in to Bomb value. That's the basics of it. For survival, all you want to do is graze a lot to fill your meter, then trigger Limit Mode when a lot of popcorn enemies appear to turn all of their drops into lives.
Scoring is more involved, with factors such as your graze (obviously), but also where you place your Limit Mode circle to maximize the amount of bullets that pass through it. It kind of reminds me of ASL (which is not even out yet :////).
The game overall is pretty thrilling because it encourages that sort of crazed grazing that you might find familiar when watching PCB or FDF2 runs. Lunatic is beyond me at the moment, but this game also feels like BDiTB in that it seems impossible at first but then gets easier. With all that in mind, I get a feeling a certain someone helped playtest the game, but their name isn't in the credits, so I'm not sure.
The music is overall meh, though there's a few standouts: Stage 1 Boss, Stage 2, Stage 5 Boss (the best of the game, probably), Extra Boss
There's a TLB if you collect 9 of the big blue/green crystal thingies, see Pearl's lunatic clear if you want to see it. The TLB is purely bonus though since you don't lose lives during it.
