I think this is more MGS1-focused with RE2 as backup instruments. The low timpani and heartbeat, along with the bells, piano and bass are from RE2, but the other instruments like the choir and pizzicato string are from MGS1.
It sounds very nice in my opinion and has a very PS1 feel.. because it's made of PS1 instruments.
