While Tower of Guns is not a Rogue-like in any sense, it is first person shooter/platformer with elements of randomization that remains compelling through multiple play sessions. The recent patch fixes a lot of the old problems the game had and adds some new quirky bit's like random dice rolls that add room effects and some other little tweaks. This is what happens when you start your 50th life, though nothing is pre-determined except for your Caketown visit.
