Toy Story 3: The Video Game - Play As Zurg Trailer - PlayJamUK
Buzz Lightyear's evil father, Emperor Zurg will feature as a PS3 exclusive playable character in Toy Story 3, complete with his yellow ball dispensing arm cannon.
As a response to his all too brief screen time in Toy Story 2, the Toy Story 3 development team decided to put Zurg in the game even going so far as to give him his very own car with hood-mounted cannon.
Toy Story 3: The Video Game is an upcoming video game based on the film of the same name. It is published by Disney Interactive Studios and developed by Avalanche Software. The game will be released in North America on June 15 2010, and will be available on Nintendo DS, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, Wii, Windows, and Xbox 360.
This will be the first game based on a movie by Pixar Animation Studios to be published entirely by Disney Interactive Studios. Past Disney/Pixar movie games have been made in conjunction with THQ.
The main game will follow the story of the movie. Gameplay appears to be mainly platformer based, with players able to play as either Sheriff Woody, Buzz Lightyear or Jessie. The game also features a Toybox mode, in which players can create and customise levels and fill it with inhabitants and missions.
PlayStation 3 owners will be able to enjoy additional content exclusive to the platform. Sony has secured exclusive rights to yet another playable villain, Emperor Zurg. He will be playable in the game's "Toy Box" mode, a sandbox mode that allows players to create and play free-form challenges.
Disney Interactive Studios has also confirmed PlayStation Move motion controller support for Toy Story 3. Players will be able to download mini-games that will be playable with the PlayStation Move when the new motion controller is available.
