0People have asked me why in the game Woody drives such a long way from Sid's house to Andy's house to pick up Buzz since they're supposed to be neighbours (very few bother to wonder why RC car suddenly appears from nowhere).
Well, if you pay attention to what happens you'd notice that after getting out of Sid's house Woody grabs on to Andy's mom's car (or the moving van), when it's driving away (so yes, Sid's house is right next to Andy's), but Buzz misses the car and is left behind. Woody takes RC car BACK to Andy's house where Buzz is waiting, and then they start driving back after Andy's mom's car.
Some have also wondered why they leave RC car behind. The answer may simply be just that Woody and Buzz weight too much for RC to carry, but alone RC car can keep up to Andy's mom's car.
