With the GR86 Yuzu Edition Toyota celebrates the first Release Series, the limited launch series that in 2014 dressed the American sister of the trio - the Scion FR-S - in yellow.
Under the hood it remains unchanged, with the 2.4 aspirated boxer 228 HP (officially called FA24), but it changes quite a bit on the outside: the chosen color is Yuzu Yellow, the same color with which the FR-S Release Series came out, and a series of optional extras enrich the bodywork.
A well-pronounced bodykit on all four sides, with large side skirts and a very protruding front lip. On the back, satin aluminum exhaust pipes branded GR and a complete outline of black accents, including the background of the Toyota logo.
Since it was the prototype on display we were not allowed to enter, so through the dark windows we could just make out the dome of the flocked instrument panel, to reduce reflections while driving - a small touch derived from the world of racing.
The 18" wheels remain those of the traditional GR86 and wrap around the Brembo braking system with red calipers to complete the very lively color palette of this Yuzu Edition.
