Final Fantasy XIII is a solid JRPG (Japanese Role Playing game) that takes some liberties in hopes to rejuvenate the long running series from Square-Enix. The best thing about the game are the Unreal engine-powered visuals and the battle system, which is well designed for quick but strategic battles. It may not be for everyone but it's one of the most ambitious japanese games in the PS3/360 generation and the first one that was released in a non-Sony system since FF VI.
